How we create trustworthy content
Editorial Policy
SmartFlow Tai Chi publishes clear, practical and responsible Tai Chi education for beginners and everyday practitioners. This policy explains how we research, write, review, update and correct our content.
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Purpose and scope
Our objective is to help readers understand and practise Tai Chi in an approachable, safe and sustainable way. We create beginner guides, movement explanations, practice routines, breathing and mindfulness content, wellness education, downloadable resources and reviews of relevant learning tools.
This policy applies to articles, website pages, emails, downloadable guides, illustrations, videos and other educational material published under the SmartFlow Tai Chi name.
Our editorial principles
Accuracy
We check factual statements, instructions, names of movements and important claims before publication.
Clarity
We use plain, respectful language and explain unfamiliar Tai Chi terms when they first appear.
Safety
We include appropriate cautions, modifications and reminders to work within a comfortable range.
Independence
Commercial relationships do not determine our conclusions or prevent us from discussing limitations.
Inclusivity
We seek to support different ages, abilities, backgrounds and levels of movement experience.
Transparency
We disclose material commercial interests, meaningful content updates and relevant limitations.
How we create and review content
- Topic selection: We choose topics based on reader needs, common beginner questions, practical usefulness and gaps in our learning library—not only search popularity.
- Research: The writer reviews suitable reference material and identifies safety considerations, uncertainties and claims that require support.
- Drafting: Content is written for the intended audience with actionable explanations, sensible limitations and no guaranteed health outcomes.
- Editorial review: Material is checked for clarity, consistency with SmartFlow Tai Chi’s teaching approach, accuracy, responsible wording, originality and disclosure needs.
- Publication and monitoring: Published content may be reviewed after reader feedback, new evidence, changes to linked resources or improvements in our editorial standards.
Where specialist clinical, legal or other professional expertise is necessary, we seek qualified review or clearly limit the content to general education. We do not present general editorial review as medical review.
Sources, evidence and attribution
We favour sources appropriate to the claim being made. These may include peer-reviewed research, systematic reviews, recognised public-health bodies, reputable universities, established Tai Chi organizations, respected books and direct consultation with appropriately experienced practitioners.
- Important factual or health-related claims should be traceable to credible evidence.
- Research findings are described in proportion to the strength and limits of the evidence.
- Personal experience, tradition and expert opinion are identified as such and are not presented as conclusive scientific proof.
- We link or cite original and authoritative sources when practical instead of relying only on secondary summaries.
- Quotations, images and third-party material are credited or licensed as appropriate.
Different Tai Chi schools may use different names, sequences, body mechanics or teaching cues. When a variation matters, we aim to identify the style or explain that other valid interpretations exist.
Health, wellness and movement safety
SmartFlow Tai Chi provides general educational and wellness information. Our content is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation or a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.
For health-related topics, we use measured language such as “may support,” “may help,” or “is associated with” when that accurately reflects the evidence. We avoid claims that Tai Chi can cure, prevent or guarantee improvement in a disease or condition unless such wording is firmly supported and legally appropriate.
Movement images and written instructions are educational aids and cannot account for every individual body, environment or health circumstance. Where possible, we include gentler options and encourage stable support, adequate space and comfortable ranges of motion.
For complete details, readers should also review our Health Disclaimer.
Use of artificial intelligence and digital tools
We may use AI-assisted and other digital tools for brainstorming, outlining, language improvement, research organization, image creation or production support. These tools do not replace our editorial responsibility.
- Material intended for publication is reviewed and edited by a person responsible for the final content.
- Factual, instructional and wellness claims are not accepted solely because an AI tool produced them.
- We check for misleading statements, invented references, inappropriate certainty, bias and unsafe instructions.
- AI-generated or illustrative visuals may represent a movement imperfectly and should not be treated as a substitute for qualified, in-person instruction.
- We disclose significant AI involvement when it would materially help a reader understand how a piece was produced.
Products, affiliates, sponsorships and editorial independence
SmartFlow Tai Chi may sell its own digital products, display advertising, publish sponsored material or earn commission from qualifying purchases through affiliate links. These activities help support the website but do not change our commitment to honest content.
- Affiliate relationships and sponsored content are disclosed clearly where applicable.
- Payment does not guarantee a positive review, recommendation or inclusion.
- Recommendations consider usefulness, relevance, quality, accessibility and value for the intended reader.
- We aim to distinguish editorial information from promotional content.
- Where we discuss our own product, we identify it as a SmartFlow Tai Chi offering.
Receiving a sample or access to a product does not transfer editorial control to the provider. Readers can consult our Affiliate Disclosure for further information.
Updates, corrections and removal requests
We review content when information becomes outdated, a material error is identified, relevant guidance changes, or readers raise a credible concern. Minor spelling, formatting and clarity edits may be made without a correction notice. A substantial correction or change may be explained on the page when it affects the meaning or a reader’s understanding.
If we confirm an error, we aim to correct it promptly and transparently. We do not normally remove accurate published material merely because it is inconvenient; however, we will consider removal or anonymisation where there is a valid legal, privacy, safety or ethical reason.
The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent saved revision of this page. On other content, an updated date may indicate a meaningful editorial review or revision, depending on the page format.
Questions, corrections and reader feedback
We welcome thoughtful feedback. If you notice a possible factual error, unclear instruction, broken source, missing disclosure or accessibility problem, please tell us. Include the page URL, the specific passage and any supporting source that may help us review the issue.
